Dennis wins national award for international service

Portsmouth & Southsea's Dennis Meadus has won the RIBI national award for international service.

"In recognition of international and world community service" says the award document.

Dennis received it on behalf of District 1110 and our club in the wake of successful start of the Rio Gravatai project, a $300k scheme to clean up a polluted river in Brazil in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Porto Alegre.

Cardiff Conference

District conference, this year at Cardiff, and 14 of us went from Portsmouth & Southsea. Our President Roger discovered that it's not all hard work and listening to talks.

Group Study Exchange from Argentina

Group Study Exchange is one of the best Rotary Programmes - in which small groups of young professionals stay for a month in another country meeting with people doing similar jobs, while representing their communities abroad.



Carolina, Mariela, Maria and Pablo stayed with Portsmouth and Southsea and Fareham Clubs for 4 nights in October while we showed them the sights and introduced them to schools and the University. 


One evening we joined the Portsmouth Rotary Housing Association for their skittles evening.
