Hi from Rotary

Greetings from the meeting of Portsmouth & Southsea Rotary Club (this post was made during a demonstration of Rotary Websites to members).

Youth Speaks Competition

This year's Youth Speaks Competition revealed another inspirational bunch of clear, articulate and self-confident Portsmouth students. Chief judge, Maureen Frost congratulated all on their enthusiasm and sense of humour.

Twenty seven competitors in front of the three judges.

Sponsored Student Welcome

Nepalese Tshering Llama has been sonsored by the Club for more than 12 years. Although some members have met him in his home town Kathmandu, this is the first time he has been to England, to complete his degree at London in computer studies, and a great chance to welcome into our Club.

Also in the picture (L to R) Taiwo Ayodele, a graduate in Artificial Intelligence at Portsmouth University, Patrick Whittle who first identified Tshering Llama as a boy worth supporting, Tshering himself, John Lindsey who chaired the sponsoring committee and knows Kathmandu well, and club president Jim Byrne.
